I got a job. It’s taking some getting used to, but I have a job that is pretty fun and very flexible hours. What I mean by getting used to is that just over 1 year ago I graduated with a BS in Accounting from an excellent Uni and worked at the largest professional services firm in the industry. Last night, I served beer to drunken ice hockey fans whose accents I could not undersand. I did enjoy it though! Cat and I went and applied to work there earlier in the week and after a brief conversation, mainly to assure we could breath on our own, we were offered employment. Upon arriving our first day I was sure I would be serving slurpy’s and M&M’s to kids all night and be on the brink of suicide by the end. Luckily, we were placed in the “Director’s Bar,” and all that is basically required of us is to pour beer during the intervals of the ice hockey game and watch TV during playing time. It’s pretty sweet. The Director’s Bar becomes a VIP bar during concerts and supposedly some well known faces show up there… not to mention we get to watch the concerts. It’s not a bad deal for a student bar job.
