I know I post a lot of this guy’s stuff, but for those of you who have RSS’d me over him (yeah, I wish), here’s some thought-provoking comments:
For those who naturally live one day at a time, this may not resonate much, but for those of us who have to focus on stopping to smell the flowers, thank you Mike Collins. With a self-declared approach of impatience to life, this really hits home for me. (Although, some recent encounters with extreme Type-A personalities have helped me put my stress-level in perspective—in reality, I’m not so bad. Thanks Type-As.)
I think I am a pretty positive person overall; I tend to reflect on other’s less fortunate experiences to value my own. Therefore when I rebutted my own complaints one day, downsizing my ‘difficulties,’ and was met with disapproval, I was dumbfounded. The person I was speaking to said, “For most people you have to tell them, ‘oh, it’s not so bad,’ but to you I have to say, ‘sometimes it is that bad.'”
Is that so bad? According to Mike Collins’ viewpoint, I am A-OK!!!
How about you?? Are you ok?
